New Beginnings K-9 Rescue is a privately run canine rescue organization located in Loudonville, Ohio. We are a very small town in a rural area and do not receive much funding help, therefore the vast majority of medical expenses, dog supplies, routine vet visits and husbandry is under the care of the founders, Summer Foss and Brian Jackson. We strive to make a difference in every canines life that makes it to our rescue. As a dog comes in, he/she is taken to our primary veterinarian for an evaluation, CBC, and heartworm test as long as our financial status and the animals health allows for it (some may need to wait until financial help arrives). Every dog is evaluated with as much stimuli as we can provide, we then create a bio on each dog and place them up for adoption. Prior to adoption, the animal must receive a negative heartworm test/+ preventative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and basic obedience training. It is the adopters responsibility to re-license their adopted dog into their county. Most of our dogs are $200 for their adoption fee as well as filling out an adoption application and contract (via email or in person) to insure our 'fur-kid' is going to a responsible, forever home. We encourage ALL family members (4-legged included) to meet the dog of interest before adoption. We also offer a one week trial with the dog being in your home before you decide to commit to adoption. Our rescue also follows up with all of our adopted canines, home checks may apply (we want to make sure the adopted dog loves his/her new family as well).
